In Feb of 2020 we came across a post of this pitiful dog chained to a tree. He would spend all day on top of a flipped over refrigerator. That was his life.. day and night. You can see in his face he was miserable. His owners didn’t want him but they also weren’t willing to surrender him to a rescue that would give him a better life. They wanted to make money on the dog they so cruelly kept. Well, we got Tank. And we broke the chains of his neck (pics in comments).. and he’s never seen a chain since. And he won’t ever again! Since he’s been at Yaqui, Tank’s personality has shined brighter than sunshine. He’s a super happy and goofy boy. And he’s so sweet and loving. Yaqui is paradise compared to where lived before. Tank thinks Yaqui is his home now but he has no idea there could be a FURever family out there for him. We would love nothing more than for Tank to find a home and his very own humans to love and that will love him back. Tank does not like cats and he is reactive to dogs so he would do best in a home with no other pets. But, truthfully, he will give you all the love you need. We think he would be best for a young adult. He’s an active dog so could be a good jogging partner. He is also a good couch potato for movie nights. Tank is neutered, current with vacccines, heartworm negative, and chipped. He has a reduced adoption fee of $100. Adoption contract and home visit required. Send us a DM or email email@example.com if you are interested in giving Tank a home. You are welcome to take him on trial for a weekend.

There are a few ways you can adopt a Yaqui pet. First, you can visit the ranch to see our beautiful pets in person. If you aren’t local and/or can’t visit, you can follow our daily updates on our social media sites and our website. When you see the pet of your dreams, call us, e-mail us, message us, or even send a smoke signal! Our top priority is finding a great home for our rescues.
After you choose your pet, we will ask you to fill out an adoption application with your basic contact information. Once approved, you will sign an adoption contract. We will also conduct a home visit to ensure that our rescues are placed in a safe environment. Once you’ve passed the home visit, your furever friend is yours! You can live an long and happy life together!
There’s a lot to think about when choosing the right pet. Here are things we recommend you consider before adopting:
Commitment – How much time do you have? Some pets require more time and energy that others. Some animals need exercise a few times a day, with other are happy relaxing in the house.
Temperament – Some pets are high-energy, and some are more chill. What kind of personality are you looking for in a pet?
Expenses – Animals have basic needs like humans do. Do you have the funds to provide food, water, proper shelter, and medical care?
Pets from rescues are just as, if not more, healthy than pet-store animals. All of our pets are fully-vetted, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped. Most of our dogs are socialized, potty-trained, and understand how to walk on a leash. Our cats are socialized with other cats, and interact with humans everyday.
